Based in Bangkok, Thai Channel 8 began broadcasting on a satellite platform in December 2010 and officially launched as a 24-hour free-to-air television channel on Jan’, 2011. On 2013, Thai Channel 8 upgraded its production and broadcast equipment to high-definition. Its HD stream was broadcast on the Thaicom 6 satellite. Thai Channel 8 officially launched its digital TV channel in April 2014. Thai Channel 8 airs both Thai and foreign dramas, including Korean series and self-produced Thai dramas. Its flagship sports content is boxing. In addition to airing boxing programs from HBO and UFC, Thai Channel 8 produces its own boxing programs. Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS) is Thailand’s first public broadcasting service, which broadcasting in UHF Channel 29. The station was established by the Thai Public Broadcasting Service Act, BE 2551 (2008), which came into force on January 15, 2008. Thai PBS is committed to active and informed citizens of the society with its diverse educational and entertainment programs while strictly abiding by the code of ethics that ensures fair, balanced and impartial news coverage. TrueVisions is a cable and satellite television operator in Thailand. TrueVisions is owned by the True Corporation. Until February 2007, it was called the United Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) or UBC-True.
Workpoint TV is a Thai nationwide general entertainment network founded in 1989. Broadcasts are available on cable and Digital TV on Channel 23, and through online. It produces complete entertainment contents that specialize in a variety of entertainment formats like reality shows, quizzes, sitcoms, game shows and variety shows.
